Segui esse tutorial e não consigo

quando rodo o comando pacman -S e17

diz que não acha o pacote, acredito que não tenha ainda no repositórios....


e tb gostaria de saber como saber a versão do pacote antes de instalar

pq quando dou comando pacman -S kde ele começa a instalar mas não sei qual kde esta instalando se é o kde4 ou 4.2 sei la.....

Galera tou com um problema chato demais estou usando Arch normalmente e quando percebo que esta muito pesado (visitando muitos sites com várias abas) o servidor gráfico fecha da aquela mensagem como se o servidor gráfico não subisse e manda analisar o erro e vai pro modo texto.

O problema é que perco tudo que estava fazendo como Digitando texto no Open Office e etc.

Nessa ultima vez que deu problema eu tava com 3 firefox abertos cada com umas 4 abas na média e quando abri o Open Office e fui copiar o link de uma página e quando colei no Open Office deu erro na parte gráfica e fechou a tela ficou preta.


Alguém sabe como resolver?


Se quiserem algum log é so pedir e informar qual log eu posto aqui.

Quando o Arch possui uma nova versão, basta vc atualizar seu sistema normalmente ( #pacman -Syu ) que ele já atualiza seu sistema atual para a nova versão disponível....

A questão dessa versão 2008.04.RC, até onde sei ( me corrijam se eu estiver errado), é simplesmente um CD do Arch com algumas alterações como, bugfixes, pacotes atualizados até o dia em que o CD foi lançado, e melhorias no processo de instalação do sistema...

Portanto te garanto que o seu sistema no momento, tá bem mais atual que esse CD com a versão RC do Arch 2008.

é acho que ja esta atualizado mesmo, vc sabe dizer o nome que a versão 2008.04 vai ter? acho que é core dump pq toda vez que da boot mostra esse nome e antes mostrava don´t panic que é a versão 2007.8

tipo se não uso o networkmanager não funciona o netcfg2 (tipo inicia o sistema a rede funciona ai mando parar o networkmanage e dou comando netcfg2 wireless ai funciona a rede, mas se iniciar o sistema sem networkmanager o comando netcfg2 wireless não funciona)...


minha rede sem fio é intel Corporation 3945ABG...


ja testei o archassistant e é ate melhor dar para criar o script corrigi algumas coisas e agora diz que o wpa_supplicant esta errado e precisa configurar para iniciar.

infelizmente não ta funcionando,so funciona quando a rede ja esta conectada pelo networkmanage ai vou mando para o serviço e rodo o comando netcfg2 wireless

ai chega a conectar, mas se coloco para reiniciar o notebook não inicia a rede. Uma pena.

Realmente agora percebi que o problema é com flash num site de uma faculdade, quando entro no site o site é feito em flash e fica alguns texto se movimentando e começou a subir o processador.

tb uso o cpufreq com "ondemand" ele sobe a freqüência e ocorria de o cooler girar mais rápido pois estava esquentando o processador.

Primeiro vou postar a configuração da minha rede wireless:

senha = ????????????????


Atualmente uso o networkmanager so que toda vez que ligo o notebook tenho que digitar a senha do login para que eu possa conectar....

Queria saber como conectar ja no boot com configuração via texto.

Algum script para rodar no boot.

Toda vez que vou acessar algum site que tenha vídeo como no youtube o processador vai la para 50% a 80% de uso, e gostaria de saber se tem algum jeito de resolver isso, acontece isso usando o browser firefox ou flock.

Nem precisa dar play no vídeo mas ja tendo vídeo acontece isso....

Uso o kdemod como padrão e ele deixa desligar, instalei xfce4 e quando vou desligar so tem a opção de sair ( a opção desligar fica desmarcado e não deixa clicar)


eu tinha desistido do gnome por causa disso tb, pq so no kdemod ta podendo desligar o notebook?

Olha o que achei no guia de iniciante:
TIMEZONE: Especifica o seu fuso horário. Os valores possíveis aqui são os caminhos relativos a um arquivo, começando do diretório /usr/share/zoneinfo. Por exemplo, se você mora na porção leste do Brasil, deve utilizar Brazil/East, que se refere ao arquivo /usr/share/zoneinfo/Brazil/East. Outras opções são Brazil/West, Brazil/Acre e Brazil/DeNoronha. Portugueses devem usar Portugal simplesmente.

o problema que aqui: /usr/share/zoneinfo  não tem esse arquivo:/usr/share/zoneinfo/Brazil/East

como baixar?

ta lasca issso, instalei o ntp para ver se sincronizava e rodei o comando ntpdate br.pool.ntp.org

so que o relógio adiantou 3 horas e ficou mostrando no orkut e thunderbird igual mas não resolveu
